Current Fee Structure (First-Time Applicants)
The road to certification requires a significant financial investment. For first-time candidates, the total cost for the FPGEC process is as follows:
| Service | Fee |
| Document Evaluation Fee | $450 |
| FPGEE Examination Fee | $650 |
| Total Initial Investment | $1,100 |
Note: While the NABP strives for fee stability, the recent surge in global applications and the transition to enhanced security at Pearson VUE testing centers means fees are subject to periodic adjustments.
For Returning Candidates
If you are retaking the exam, you do not need to pay the document evaluation fee again. You will only be responsible for the $650 examination fee for each subsequent attempt.
Additional Costs to Consider
It is important to remember that the NABP fees cover only the administration and evaluation of the exam. They do not include:
Study Materials: Textbooks, question banks, or review courses.
Travel & Lodging: The FPGEE is currently only offered once per year at specific testing centers.
TOEFL iBT: You must also account for the costs of the English proficiency exam, which is a mandatory component of the certification.
